RAWALPINDI: Complaint cells at the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) and the Chaklala Cantonment Board will remain open round-the-clock during Ramazan. Both agencies have decided to use generators for storing and supplying water during load-shedding. Presently, WASA gets 27 million litres of water per day from Khanpur Dam and the cantonment board gets 41 million litres from the same source. Both civic bodies also have tube-wells available. Rawalpindi Station Commander Brig Zahid Ahmad Rana has directed the chief executive officers of both the bodies to dispatch water tankers to areas which have been facing water scarcity.
