PM’s condolences: Cheques handed to heirs of ASF victims

PM Nawaz acknowledges the sacrifices of the ASF martyrs.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed condolences with the bereaved families of the Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel who were martyred in the Karachi airport incident. He presented financial support cheques of Rs3 million among the legal heirs of the ASF martyrs and announced jobs for them at PM House on Thursday. PM Nawaz acknowledged the sacrifices of the ASF martyrs. “They laid down their lives for the defence of their motherland and their sacrifices will not go in vain,” he said. He condemned the heinous attacks and said that the security at all major airports has been beefed up. Nawaz added that significant steps have been adopted to upgrade logistic and technical support and enhance security.
