Historical gathering: Altaf Hussain calls for solidarity rally

Hussain directed members of the Rabita Committee to conduct a meeting to make necessary arrangements for the rally.

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has said on Friday that his party will hold a historical gathering to express solidarity with the armed forces who are fighting against militants. Hussain said that members of religious and political parties, civil society and NGOs will be invited to attend the gathering as well. Hussain directed members of the Rabita Committee to conduct a meeting to make necessary arrangements for the rally. “Armed forces of Pakistan are fighting a big and difficult war for to eliminate the militants. They are making huge sacrifices and despite the loss of the lives of the fighters, their morale has remained high,” he said. The MQM chief has appealed to all religious and political leaders, workers, businessmen, industrialists, working people, labours and students to attend the gathering.
