Rescued: Shikarpur police find two kidnapped men

Shikarpur police raided the Jaffer Mundradi village.

SUKKUR: Shikarpur police raided the Jaffer Mundradi village on Wednesday morning and recovered two kidnapped persons, while the kidnappers managed to flee. The village is located on the border of Shikarpur and Jacobabad districts. According to sources, a heavy contingent of police raided the village. After a brief encounter, the kidnappers escaped, leaving behind two abductees, Abdul Sattar Mahar and Mohammad Afzal Mashoori. The two were kidnapped from Shikarpur two weeks ago. Talking to The Express Tribune, Shikarpur ASP Kamran Nawaz confirmed the recovery of the two men, adding that when the police raided and cordoned off the village, the kidnappers opened fire. While the kidnappers are at large, efforts are underway to arrest them, he said.
