Tragedy: Man killed over enmity

The police have registered a case against the suspects and started investigation.

RAWALPINDI: A man was shot dead and his brother injured by their rivals over an old enmity in Rawalpindi. The local police said that Atifullah and his brother, Basharat, were going to work on Monday around 2pm when they were attacked on Range Road.  As result, the brothers suffered bullet wounds and were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, where Atif was pronounced dead and Basharat is stated to be in critical condition. The victims are natives of Mardan and allegedly left their hometown a few years back after being accused of kidnapping a girl. The police have registered a case against the suspects and started investigation.  Meanwhile, Iftikhar Ahmed approached the same police stating that his motorcycle had been stolen from outside his house in Lane 5, said an official.
