Fatal Festivity: Villager killed in firing at wedding

BAHAWALPUR: A man was killed when he was shot in celebratory firing at a wedding ceremony. The wedding was being held at the residence of Sajid Hussain, a resident of village 125/1L, Islamgarh near Rahim Yar Khan, according to police. During the celebrations, a man, Faisal, who had come with the groom, started firing into the air. One of the bullets hit Muhammad Asghar in the chest, police said. He was taken to Sheikh Zayed Hospital in a critical condition where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police took Faisal into custody. A case was yet to be registered.
