Competing internationally: Students exhibit race car

The team comprising of 29 students who made this car have previously exhibited it in Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar.

ISLAMABAD:


Mechanical engineering students from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) exhibited a single-seater race car at a ceremony held here on Tuesday.


The students, along with IT and technology enabling company, Interactive Group and the Sri Lankan motor-sporting giant, EZY Racing exhibited the Interactive EZY Racing Formula NUST Car.

Named after martyred Pakistan Navy Captain Nadeem Ahmed, the car will participate in the formula student motorsport competition to be held next month in Silverstone, UK. The students briefed the visitors about their effort and the upcoming competition.

The team comprising of 29 students who made this car have previously exhibited it in Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar.

Sri Lankan motor sporting giant, EZY Racing and Pakistan’s IT and technology enabling company, Interactive Group have already signed a multi-year partnership targeting uplift and international launch of motor sports in the country during the unveiling ceremony of the sports car in Karachi. EZY Racing is a subsidiary of Singapore-based EZY Corporation.
