Gunned Down: Man killed for ‘having an affair’

A man was shot dead on Saturday by two men who suspected him of having an affair.

BAHAWALPUR: A man was shot dead on Saturday by two men who suspected him of having an affair. Khanpur police said that Haider Ali, a resident of Chak 45P, Khanpur, had filed a complaint stating that his brother Javed Ali was asleep in his house when Javed Ahmed and Ashraf Ali broke into his house and shot him dead in his sleep. He said that Ahmad had suspected Ali of having an affair with his sister. The culprits managed to flee from the scene. Police have sent the body to a mortuary for post-mortem examination and have registered a case against the accused.
