QUETTA:

Adviser to Chief Minister for Balochistan Mir Khalid Langove has termed the provincial budget for fiscal year 2014-15 as a balanced and people-friendly one.

He said the revenue authority has been formed to enhance tax net and increase spending on the welfare of people.

He expressed these views while speaking to media at a post-budget briefing. Secretary Finance Mushtaq Raisani was also present.

“For the first time in history, the incumbent government has allocated an amount as high as Rs50 billion for the Public Sector Development Project (PSDP). This will create job opportunities for thousands of people,” Langove said.

He said that the restoration of trust in Balochistan was vital.
