Boosting education PM to unveil laptop scheme

PM to distribute laptops with objective to boost scope of research, quality education, improved access to information.

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme will be formally launched by Premier Nawaz Sharif on Friday. This was revealed in a high-level review meeting for the maiden national level launch of the scheme presided by Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Chairperson Prime Minister’s Youth Programme on Thursday. While reviewing the arrangements, the chairperson informed the meeting that the prime minister would distribute the laptops among students hailing from all the provinces including Fata, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan with an objective to boost the scope of research, quality education and improved access to information.
