LAHORE: A two-day training session for students from across the country began on Thursday under the auspices of the Quality Enhancement Cell at the Government College University (GCU). The workshop aims to strengthen the communication and interpersonal skills of the students before they proceed abroad on a study tour. The inaugural session of the workshop was presided over by GCU Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman. Dr Rahman stated that the students would visit leading universities in the United Kingdom, Germany and Sweden. He added that they would have the opportunity of interacting with noted figures. He felicitated the chief minister for undertaking this initiative and stated that the students will be representing Pakistan in their unique capacity and therefore had to be briefed upon the importance of their conduct. Rahman added that he hoped the impending visit would rectify Pakistan’s troubled image the world over.
