The prime minister chaired a high-level meeting in Islamabad on Thursday which was also attended by chief minister Punjab, Minister for Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid, Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Railway Khwaja Saad Rafique and Minister for States and Frontier Regions Lt Gen (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch.
It was noted in the meeting that national unity is essential for future peace and stability and “there is a need to extend full support to our jawans (soldiers) in the combat area,” in order for the Waziristan operation to be successful.
It was also decided that all possible resources will be allocated to look after the IDPs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Chief Minister Punjab also briefed the prime minister regarding Lahore incident. He informed that strict action is being taken against those who are involved and found responsible and justice will be provided at all costs.
Zarb-e-Azb is war of security: Rashid
Separately, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has said that the North Waziristan operation "is the war of security of the country and all the political forces must be united for the national cause."
Talking to media in Islamabad on Thursday, Rashid emphasised the importance of national and political unity, “this is not the time of street politics because such actions will provide strategic support to the terrorists.”
The minister commended Pakistan armed forces and said they are amongst the best security forces of the world and are also playing an important role in UN peacekeeping missions all over the world.

First of all, if PMLN has mandate, what's stopping them from verifying 4 seats? A big chunk of their "mandate" is through rigging and thuggery - the kind of thuggery we saw in Lahore a couple of days ago.
Secondly, electric theft is Federal issue. Stop diverting responsibility as has always been the case with N-league.
PTI govt is at least not killing its own people in KPK! PTI govt is fine given that they only have provincial govt while there is a hostile and incompetent Federal govt in charge of the country. One achievement of PTI Govt will suffice here given the current situation: PTI Govt has depoliticized police and made it a professional indept body - the importance of which you can easily grasp after witnessing the massacre committed in Lahore by the corrupt and politically controlled police of Punjab.
It is PMLN which has not only disappointed everyone, but came out as KILLERS and TERRORISTS.

Very funny, war is in KP and he is meeting with the next-of-kin, sounds more like Punjab unity than the rest of the country! Or it may have been a meeting about Gullu Butt under the cover of the Zarb-e-Azb! If you (Mr. PM) want national unity then go to the people who lost their loved ones in the dust and rubble of Waziristan and funnel some money to them instead of Metro Buss!

And you don't shut down TV channels in a democracy . You can fine them and constructively regulate them but you can't shut them down - no Sir.
By the declaration of war against the people of KPK and the areal bombardment of tribal folks, as was practiced by the colonialists Inglez, both the military and the central civilian leadership has lost its legitamacy to rule Pakistan. The concept of the bond among the people of different ethnic and cultural divide exists no more. Further bloodshed must be avoided the at all costs and those responsible for this mayhem must stand before the justice of God.

The worst strategies of Pakistan army and agencies; first create, use then blame, divide and defuse or kill. For long Pakistan along with foreign aid and support has destroyed the future and lives of millions and millions of youngs, kids, immature; first training them and weaponry and equipped them; then have been using them as non-state actors against both foe and friends at various fronts; India, Russia, Iran, Middle East, especially Afghanistan and against US. For certain agenda they had brought foreigners from different countries first to protect the army itself against the Russia then to settled and take control of FATA tribes by killing their elders through foreigners and then extended borders into Afghanistan to occupy or establish a puppet government. They used such forces both inside; Kashmir, SWAT, FATA, KP, Karachi and outside even inside Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Chechnya and Middle East. Then after the realization of US and failure of Pakistan agenda; strategic depth, Kashmir, extending borders and occupation of Afghanistan; these forces have started blaming and eliminating through various propaganda; war on terror, national security, ethnic, sectarian and internal conflicts, terrorism, foreigners, agents, barbarians etc. Blaming those innocents who, lives, future, families and generation after generation have been destroyed and used by the Pakistan army and agencies and US for their agendas. The generations of generations sacrifices and struggles of yesterday Heroes, so called Pakistan great assets to be use against both India and US and today’s terrorists were incredible, in true faith and for peace and justice.
