RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry will soon set up a Women Business Incubation Centre (WBIC) for helping females establish and run their own businesses. “The RCCI has taken measures to form  the centre and it will soon be operational,” RCCI President Dr Shimail Daud Arain said, while addressing a seminar on Wednesday. The seminar “Empowering Women: Claiming Space in the Workplace” was organised by USAID. Shimail said that being the representative of the business community, the RCCI is making efforts to set healthy examples for the private sector to follow. “Using the platform, women of Rawalpindi will be provided initial finances, training and offices within that centre,” he said. He said that creating opportunities for women in entrepreneurship has always been the body’s priority.
