Did you know? Mehdi Hassan’s daughter-in-law continues his legacy

Ghazal maestro Mehdi Hassan’s daughter-in-law Umaima Arif has recorded her first ever song for her upcoming album. She has written the lyrics for the song herself and reveals that a video for the track will be shot soon. Umaima has been a lyricist before and has worked with various singers in the past; hence, she aims to write the songs for her debut album herself, reported Roznama Express. She further revealed that her first poetry book will soon be published as well.

Umaima has been working on the composition and lyrics for her album over the past few months and now, finally, the recording has begun. She has paid close attention to every single track. The legend’s daughter-in-law intends to release this album not just in Pakistan and India, but also in Europe. Umaima additionally told Roznama Express that even though she is starting a career in singing, she will continue writing lyrics and poetry.
