Exam stress : Two attempt suicide over bad grades

The parents warned they would hold the government responsible if something happens to their children.

LOWER DIR: Two students of grade nine attempted suicide in Samar Bagh, Jandul on Tuesday. Zakir and Asif, residents of Badin village in Samar Bagh tehsil, are students of Oxford School. According to their parents, the children studied hard for their exams but when they got a grade lower than their expectations, they went home and swallowed poison. They were rushed to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital where they are now stable. Parents of the victims explained Zakir scored 394 while Asif got 374 marks out of a total of 525. They also claimed checking of the exam papers was biased and demanded rechecking. The parents warned they would hold the government responsible if something happens to their children.
