Affordable Housing : 273 acres acquired for labour colony

The land is near Sector E-17 in Islamabad and work will begin in the near future.

RAWALPINDI: The provincial government has acquired 273 acres to construct a housing colony for industrial workers in Rawalpindi district and adjoining areas. A meeting was held at the Rawalpindi Commissioner’s office on Monday with Punjab Minister for Labour and Manpower Raja Ashfaq Sarwar in the chair. The minister was informed about the land acquisition and told that work will be launched after fulfilment of legal procedures. Sarwar said that a very suitable site for the colony has been selected at a location that is convenient for industrial workers in Rawalpindi and its surrounding areas. The land is near Sector E-17 in Islamabad and work will begin in the near future.
