The FATA Directorate of Education has ordered all educational institutes of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) be closed till further orders.


Confirming the report, Mohmand Agency Education Officer Muhammad Khan said he has received the orders from FATA Secretariat about the closure of educational institutions of the agency, adding most schools were already closed due to summer vacations but now the 16 private schools in the agency have also been instructed to shut down.


Similarly, Bajaur Agency Education Officer Saeed Gul said even though schools in the agency close for summer vacations from July 1 to August 31, they have been ordered to shut down early. He informed that exams will continue and the political administration will provide complete security at all examination centres in the agency. Other agencies of Fata have also been ordered to close their schools, said the official.

I can see why they are being closed. Because of the military operation against the Taliban terrorists. But they should be reopened as soon as possible!
