A short hearing of this case was held today on the request of the federation submitted earlier.
In the hearing, the government requested the Supreme Court to hear the case tomorrow (Tuesday) as it is an important matter. However, Justice Saqib Nisar, who was heading the hearing, didn't make formal announcement over whether the Supreme Court will hold the hearing tomorrow on the government’s request or not.
On June 14, the federal government had appealed to the Supreme Court to stop the former president from travelling abroad insisting that he will not return to the country once he leaves.
The Sindh High Court (SHC) had ordered the removal of Musharraf’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL) on June 12, but had suspended this order for around two weeks giving the federal government time to appeal against the decision before the Supreme Court.
