Umar, who is also an inspector for an intelligence agency, left his house in Garden Town for work when men on two motorcycles forced him into a car that was accompanying them and fled the area. The attackers on motorcycles were wearing black t-shirts similar to those worn by the police.
SP Cantt Multan said that were six to seven kidnappers.
Umar is also the son of Wahid Jillani, the former chairman of Bahawalpur Development Authority.

Investigation underway
During a meeting in Lahore headed by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the CM asked the Multan regional police officer (RPO) to present a report on the kidnapping.
He also constituted a special team, headed by the RPO, to recover the CJP's nephew. The team was instructed to find the victim within 24 hours.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and a search operation is underway. Intelligence officers are coordinating with the City Police Officer (CPO) to conduct the search.
Check posts have been set up at exit and entry points of the city and security forces are checking number plates of vehicles before letting them through.
Police had tracked the victim's mobile phone to the Aziz Hotel Chowk at the time of the kidnapping. Ten minutes after that the phone was tracked to the Civil Hospital Chowk and then to Ghanta Ghar, after which it was switched off.
The reason for the kidnapping could not be ascertained at this time.

Seems to be a pressure tactic on the CJ to free Mush... by Mush lovers... we all know who they are.
How cruel of (most of) you calling it all tit-for-tat. Get out of the blame game. Judiciary's job is only to decide whether the accuses is guilty or not guilty based on the evidence provided. Our LEAs need to provide better proof instead of hunches. Pointless bashing of courts is just..pointless.

In Pakistan, us common people are not considered important enough. Only if you were born rich or make tons of ill-gotten money after birth, like most of our politicians did, are you considered human so do not be surprised. CM Punjab knows which life is important for him and the rest be damned.
judiciary should take up all the civil cases pending for years,instead of involving itself in political cases...this the time to take of Arsalan case
This reminds us of a similar kidnapping few days before the general elections a year ago!
This shows the need for doing "OPERATION" in the cities and towns of Pakistan before taking it to FATA. We must clean our home first and then take the fight to the enemy's territory.

Its amazing how Shabaz Sharif acts when its some influential person's relative who gets picked up or goes missing. Are the common people's relatives not human beings? Why is it that the CM Punjab does not care or order 'immediate action' when some poor person's relative gets abducted? I guess this shows that the rulers believe the common man has a different color of blood compared to the rulers and their so-called 'elite' friends.

Blame games can commence later. For now, let's show some sympathy for the victim as well as support for the forces tasked to recover him. Why do we always focus on useless, self-destructive comments?
