
While speaking at a meeting on the KHM, Shah said that the government is providing the NHA with land, assistance in the acquisition of private land and facilitating them in all administrative matters so that a qualitative communication service can be ensured for the people of Sindh.
The CM asked the authorities to ensure that the structure of the KLM project is such that all the cities and towns from where it passes are connected. Shah formed a committee comprising Sukkur and Hyderabad Highways Superintendent Engineer and a representative from the NHA to ensure that the interconnection of cities and towns is incorporated in the plan.
Similarly, the CM asked the management of the NHA to complete the Lyari Expressway Project as soon as possible. He assured that the Sindh Government was fulfilling its part and was ready to pay Rs2.5 billion to acquire the land and help relocate the people settled in the area.
He also assured the NHA that the government will release the funds for the completion of Sehwan-Rato Dero Road. He directed the chief secretary to do the needful.
While discussing the KLM Project, the NHA chairperson said that it had been divided into four parts. These parts include Hyderabad to Karachi, 136 kilometres (km), Hyderabad to Sukkur, 296km, Sukkur to Multan 387km and Multan to Lahore 276km.
