A security forces convoy was reportedly the target of the attack.
According to initial reports, a remote-controlled bomb - planted on the side of a road in Karam Kot - exploded when the vehicle passed by.
The attack comes after Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jets bombed hideouts of suspected militants in Dattakhel area of North Waziristan, killing over 50 terrorists.
The air force also carried out shelling in the Mirali earlier on Sunday morning.

Dear sir, The first impression of daily Express Tribune is the best to attract the readers everywhere in the entire country,Pakistan.I like to read it online daily, without any break.But during the previous moments of your esteemed publication it has been observed that various stories pertaining to Abbottabad were found incorrect because of your wrong appointment of a correspondent who is belonging to Haripur district of Hazara. Mind it that one hour travel between Haripur and Abbottabad city by road cannot enable a person to focus his attention to collect correct news stories later to send them to Tribune well in time.Moreover, he is sending you mere table stories simultaneously which could not be considered true and correct features of a news story.Anyway thank you very much.Regards..
@Ali S:
There was NO 6 months ceasefire! Bombs continued to drop on Waziristan. There was no ceasefire. Dialogue was deliberately sabotaged by establishment.
BTW, you will nuke NW? If so, the whole world will nuke Pakistan for violating human rights, let alone for many terrorists we have produced and sent to fight in India & other countries. Would you accept that?
Imagine your family was living in NW. I think you wouldn't be so heartless and criminal-minded then.
Don't be part of the problem.
@Shaikh Mohommad:
6 months of no strikes or drones did nothing to stop these vermin - their only goal is takeover of the country and everything else is a diversion to build up to that goal. I think the army is still too soft on them, it should separate FATA from Pakistan (where the writ of govt doesn't exist anyway) and nuke it into oblivion.
Does the Army think that indiscriminate bombings killing civilians will not have any effect? The US drone attacks taken with the permission of the Government and Army operations give birth to such attacks on the Army. Lives of Army personnel are precious and so are the lives of ordinary people living in those areas. We should respect one another. By the way, aerial bombings and US drone strikes should be stopped immediately if we want peace and tranquility in the country.
