Haq was addressing a post-budget press conference a day after he had unveiled a Rs404.805 billion provincial budget in the K-P assembly.
While briefing the journalists about the challenges faced by the province, Haq pointed out that K-P is a disaster and terrorism-hit province and that it is the most affected region of the country.
“The situation in K-P has not improved because of the wrong policies of the federal government,” he lamented, calling all the national and international stakeholders to understand the negative effects the war has left on the province.
“Dangerous weapons used in the region have harmed our environment and the effects will remain with us for the next 300 years,” he said.
The minister added that the province can’t allow or tolerate such policies any more.
Speaking about the budget plan, Haq said the funds are divided into three categories – administrative, welfare and development. He stated that the government will be working to improve the health and education sectors on emergency basis.

Dear Minister sb
You cant take education forward by first taking the curriculum into stone ages.
These mutually opposited things. Resolve the conflict first
sincerely
@Zaryal khan: A dozen friends in hospitals. That statement is it self fishy. Speak the truth and no lies. Can you compare the condition of hospitals in ANP time and PTI time??? They are a world apart.
KP Govt though has allocated an amount in budget but the ground realities are totally different.Any one should come to the local and main hospitals of Peshawar.I have more than a dozen friends working day and night in these hospitals day and night and they say the govt is extra ordinarily amateur.Previously at least the antibiotic, routine usage syringes etc were in abundance but now they are also lacking. The situation of education is such that more than 2 schools in district Dir the children of the schools have collected money to hire a teacher for themselves. Complete nepotism and favoritism in full swing.I have myself voted for PTI but i was wrong and now feels guilty. The government of the province is totally running on the support of NGOs and PTI was only liked by a person like me because they were talking of self reliance.
KPK government's allocation on education and health speaks louder than thousand of claims by Nawaz and Sharif for the welfare of the people. Well done Mr. Siraj ul Haq, you made people from humble background PROUD.
What a naive bunch these trolls are!!!
Pakistan don't deserve people like ik.
I am from Karachi and have noticed that Sindh's CM has no concerns towards the welfare of poeple and dont see him much doing any effort towards it. I wonder people still blame IK and PTI and dont judge the late-back attitute of Sindh cabinet.
Furthermore a part from our salaries are detected for these catestrophic areas.dont know were are the money going
@Vikrum Singh: You have written it my words more beautifully !!
This is an excellent step by PTI although I do not agree with PTI on many things. Health and Education should be the top priorities not bus services or laptops. It's sad that we have our local media outlets like GEO who give excellent coverage to Metro and Laptops but do not highlight things like this.
Also, the PML-N government has actually decreased the overall education budget of the country but because everything is so politicized there is hardly any coverage of that.
One should not forget that Education is the main backbone of a strong economy.
I'm not an expert on Pakistani politics, but on one hand there are provinces spending lavishly on red buses and laptops, and on the other we have these guys putting all their effort on health and education. Its funny (actually sad) that it is the former who's had 6 chances in the government, while the latter is a first-timer. Good to see sane people focusing on the things that actually matter, rather than sugar-coated candies that do nothing for the country in the long term. Bravo!
