‘Cleaning The Gun’: Girl killed by ‘stray bullet’

RAWALPINDI: A girl was killed by a stray bullet in Sadiqabad on Friday, family sources said. Amna, 18, was doing some chores at her house while her cousin, Haider, was allegedly cleaning his gun. Haider’s gun “accidentally” went off while he was cleaning it, and the bullet hit Amna. She was rushed to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, but doctors pronounced her dead on arrival. The girl’s body was handed over to the family for burial after legal formalities. Further investigation is under way, said an official.
