Murder and robbery: Two convicts sentenced to death

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Friday sentenced two convicts to death for killing a man during a robbery in 2011. Asif Hussain and Fayyaz alias Nikko were also fined Rs200,000. The amount would be paid to the heirs of the deceased. They will undergo six months further imprisonment in case of non payment. They were also sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and fined Rs50,000 each for committing robbery. They will undergo imprisonment for an additional year in case of non-payment.  The men were also awarded two years imprisonment and Rs25,000 fine under Section 411 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Muhammad Saif had filed a complaint against the men with the Shafiqabad police.
