
The social media platform has published a video titled '#WorldCup on Twitter: Love every second' in which fans of from all over the globe can be seen using the hashtag #WorldCup to get involved in the event.
The hashtag, in addition to ‘#WorldCup2014’, will provide users with practical information such as match fixtures.
Hashflags are also making a return for the tournament, following massive success during the 2010 Cup.
Fans can type ‘#' followed by the first three letters of their team for an emoji flag to show up in their messages.
And if the disappointment of seeing your country relegated gets too much to bear, fear not - there is always the chance to restore national pride with 'The World Cup of Tweets', a global competition for the most tweets.
