KARACHI: Pakistan’s Mohammad Haris Nadeem and Amir Tariq were knocked out of the last-16 round in the 15th Asian U21 Snooker Championship being played in Mohali, India.

Nadeem went down to India’s Sahil Nayyar 4-2. Nayyar got off to a great start, winning the first frame with a break of 122 points and then going on to claim the second one as well.

However, Nadeem drew parity by winning the next frame to make it 2-2, but Nayyar held onto the challenge and secured victory with close wins in the following two frames, with final scores of 134(122)-06, 57-50, 47-61, 00-71, 78-45 and 62-42.
