HYDERABAD: The provincial minister for special education, Rubina Saadat Qaimkhani, survived a car collision in Sanghar district on Monday. Her Toyota Land Cruiser crashed into a tractor trolley, which was parked by the roadside, within the limits of the Jhol police station in Ghandan, near Sanghar’s urban town. According to the district health officer Dr Shagufta, Qaimkhani has sustained the impact of the crash in her chest, shoulders and arms. The doctors in Sanghar provided her with initial treatment and afterwards she was referred to Karachi. “Fortunately, she has not sustained any major injuries,” said Dr Shagufta. The accident wrecked the left side of the vehicle’s bonnet, the front left door and the mudguard. The trolley, which was full of bricks, was parked on the road after one of its tyres was punctured. The minister had gone to Sanghar to attend a katchehri.
