Swept away: Picnicker drowns in Kunhar River

Ahmed is the fourth person to have drowned in the river during the last seven days, said the police.

Swept away: Picnicker drowns in Kunhar River

MANSEHRA: Yet another young man drowned in Kunhar River on Monday. Police and eyewitnesses said a group of picnickers were bathing on the bank of the river near Shohal when one of them was swept away by the heavy current. Local divers succeeded in fishing out the body after about half an hour. The deceased was later identified as Ahmed, 28, son of Muhammad Hussain of Salamat Pura, Lahore. Ahmed is the fourth person to have drowned in the river during the last seven days, said the police.
