KARACHI: Mohammad Majid Ali notched his third consecutive win to maintain an unbeaten run in the 15th Asian U21 Snooker Championship, which is under way in Mohali, India.

Majid thumped Syrian Yazan Hadad 4-0 as he won with a scoreline of 79-30, 83-12, 55-20 and 71-14.

Meanwhile in another match, Hamza Akbar redeemed himself after losing his opening game, thrashing India’s Kunal Kothekar 4-0.

The highly-rated Akbar had not been able to live up to expectations recently, so he made sure that he did not slip further as he registered a 77-27, 80-09, 93-13(72) and 55-52 rout.

Amir Tariq also won in similar fashion against Hong Kong’s Fung Chun Hin with scores of 87-22, 82-20, 92-02 and 73-06. Tariq had lost his opening game but now has a victory to his credit.
