Retribution: Landlord shot and killed

Police said unidentified armed men ambushed him near Wahi Juman.

BAHAWALPUR: A landlord was shot and killed on Saturday. Police said Mumtaz Hussain, a resident of Chak 72P, was accused of murder and was going for a hearing at the court of Additional and Session Judge Nazeer Hussain Khokar. Police said unidentified armed men ambushed him near Wahi Juman. He was shot and killed. Police said Hussain’s family had named Abid Ali and Muhammad Yousaf as suspects in the murder as they had accused Hussain of killing Ali’s brother over a land dispute in 2012.
