Criticising the budget, Imran said “funds that should be spent on all provinces are being cut and spent on Punjab, and that too mostly in Lahore.”
He also added this may lead to a sense of resentment in the other provinces.
Tourism in Swat is being adversely affected because a main road leading to Kalat has been broken for the last year, Imran went on to say in his address. He pointed out that despite this, K-P Chief Minister Pervez Khattak’s development fund has been reduced while more money is being allocated to the Lahore Railway.
Imran said that Rs50 billion have been allocated to the Lahore Railway although the railway in Karachi costs less money and covers a greater distance.
This year’s budget is beneficial only to a small group of corrupt people in society, he said, adding that no other budget in the history of Pakistan has been this corrupt.
PTI leader Asad Umar reiterated this claim in the press conference, saying that the performance of Nawaz Sharif's government is worse than that of Asif Ali Zardari's.
Umar pronounced that the claims of the GDP growing at 4.14% -- as mentioned in this year's budget -- hold no weight and cited figures by leading economist Dr Hafiz Pasha of Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), who predict the growth rate to be at 3.5% and 3.3% respectively.
He highlighted that foreign investment is essential for a country's economic growth before going on to add that investment in the country was at an all-time low this year. He also mentioned how the budget deficit has increased from $1.5 billion to $2.1 billion during Nawaz Sharif's tenure.
According to Umar, the PML-N government not only failed to meet its own budget targets, but performed even worse than the previous Zardari government.

Rs2.135 million are spent on the Prime Minister house on a daily basis, Imran stated.
Nawaz has asked the people of Pakistan to make sacrifices during these difficult times so why is he spending such a large amount, Imran demanded to know.
The party chief added that an additional Rs4.3 million are being spent daily on the prime minister’s travel abroad.

Punjab is the big brother and it takes benefit of that. infact if Punjab is the largest populated place in Pakistan, other provinces are not responsible for this population growth. tell them to control their population so that the Sindhi children would not die in malnutrition, and the biggest budget ratio is of army which is actually Punjab army not Pakistan army. now people for Punjab i request you to be rational, grabbing and snatching rights of other provinces isn’t going to make you a saint, he is right. if you want to prove, then check the Government quota system in all government organisations, from colleges to universities in job quota Punjab has the largest ratio. if you have given birth to so many children i’m not responsible for that. anyways if there would be open merit in every Govt organization I bet hardly 7 to 9 Punjabi’s are going to qualify every test.
Prosperous Punjab can't come at cost of other provinces. NS, a biased politician, has put on hold alot of Sindh/Karachi projects including Thar Coal, Lyari ExpressWay, Karachi Water, etc.
Such a shame that our Prime Minister purchased 2 BMWs of million of dollars for his use from national expenditure while our sisters are killing their children due to hunger.

People from Punjab need to look out the window to see what IK is talking about. This is not anti Punjab, this is pro Pakistan. Govt in center should be extra cautious as to not loose confidence of the federating units. Between im from KP too, business of governance is totally on a whole new level then any other province of the country.

During PPP tenure, where was Mr. Khan? Why was he mum when Punjab was treated like a step child and its electricity was literally cut which in turn idled hundred of thousand people across the province. It was not given its due share and still no political leader has guts to stand up for Punjab. But they all, including Mr. Khan, showed up at election time to get votes from Punjab. It was a shame that people of Pakistan still vote for seasonal leaders like him who show up at election only.
Looking at your desperation, I an beginning to believe that you are disillusioned and will say anything to get votes/sympathy. Pakistan has enough ethnic problems in Karachi by one political party and now Mr. Khan is giving a new dimension to ethnicity. Another feature of PMLN's ridiculous budget: Indian (and foreign) investors will taxed 20% while Pakistani investors are being and will taxed at the tax rate of 33%. What kind of policy is this? (PS I have nothing against Indian investors, they are most welcome, but we talking about having good policies for the Pakistani investors as well).

I have read the Budget documents myself and infact Punjab's per Capita this time is lower than Sindh and KPK after the 18th amendment clause of Deduction of Royalties from Federal Kitty. But Imran is now too much desperate and even becoming Irrational. He should come up with certain points that how is favors Punjab rather than just assuming after hearing from his aides who are misguiding Imran Khan. I am afraid Imran will play the Ethnic card as the last resort to get some votes and that is painful for me..
