Chemical Reaction: Four men injured as tanker explodes

Four people were injured on Saturday when an explosion took place in a tanker carrying chemicals.

KARACHI: Four people were injured on Saturday when an explosion took place in a tanker carrying chemicals on National Highway. Shah Latif Town police SHO Naeen Khan told The Express Tribune that the tanker was parked at Noman Autos, a roadside auto workshop at the Chowkandi stop on the highway. A welder climbed on top of the tanker and had started welding when the explosion occurred. It injured four workers of the repairs shop including the welder. They were rushed to Jinnah hospital. The emergency section incharge, Dr Seemin Jamali, confirmed they received four injured - Shahzad, 20, Murad, 32, Mujahid, 22, and Saeed, 26. They all suffered burns, she said.
