The first National Home Economics Conference concluded at the Baragali campus of University of Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The first National Home Economics Conference concluded at the Baragali campus of University of Peshawar (UoP) on Saturday. The two-day event coincided with the 60th anniversary of the Home Economics College at UoP – the first of its kind in Pakistan. Around 200 delegates from across the country participated in the conference titled ‘Exploring New Horizons’. Thirty research papers were also presented by the delegates over 12 different sessions. Speakers associated with the field termed the role of home economists as an integral part of the socioeconomic development process. The chief guest at the occasion, UoP Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Muhammad Rasul Jan, was accompanied by University of Swat VC Prof Dr Jehanzeb and University of Malakand VC Prof Dr Johar Ali.
