Assurance to Fazl: DI Khan on route of highway to China
Capt (Retd) Safdar also assures JUI chief of more development funds for DI Khan.
DI KHAN:
Captain (retd) Safdar of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in DI Khan to allay apprehensions on the route of Pak-China Economic Corridor that will link Gwadar port to Kashgar. Chairman of National Highway Authority (NHA) Tahir Ashraf Tarar and ex-chief minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Akram Khan Durrani were also present in the meeting. Fazl had shown reservations over including Mianwali district and Talagang town of Chakwal district of Punjab in the route map of proposed highway, while excluding his constituency, DI Khan. Capt (Retd) Safdar, NHA chairman, Akram Khan Durrani, and Maulana Fazl took an aerial view of the proposed route passing through DI Khan. Capt (Retd) Safdar also assured the JUI chief of more development funds for DI Khan.
