Margalla sports: Fest Eight teams shine in different events

The three-day Margalla Sports Festival, organized by the Capital Development Authority, concluded at National Cricket Ground here on Friday.


Boots Pharmacy Cricket team clinched first position in inter-departmental tape ball tournament among sixteen teams.


Similarly, inter-school football tournament was won by Pak-Turk School.


Inter-club football tournament was won by Mehran Football Club.


Muhammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU) defeated Mehar Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University in the final match of Inter-University basketball tournament.


Pak-Turk school defeated the City School to win inter-school lawn tennis tournament while Jinns Rugby club defeated British High Commission to win the final match of inter-club rugby tournament.


IMCB G-10/4 team won the final match of boy’s category of Hockey tournament and IMCH, G-6/4 team was at the top in girl’s category of the tournament.


In men category CDA defeated UAE Falcon Hockey club.


Meanwhile the open trails to select the Islamabad Boxing Team for all weight categories will be held at G-10 Markaz Muscle Mania Gym and Boxer IBA boxing club on June 10.
