Disciplinary Action: Six Iesco officials suspended

Iesco Chief Executive Officer Yousaf Awan issued the order after visiting Taxila and Margalla sub-divisions.

Six officials of the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) have been suspended on charges of remaining absent from duty, says a press release of the company. Dueing a surprise visit to Gujar Khan city sub-division, Water and Power Secretary Nargis Sethi found them absent from duty. She also inspected the complaint office of the sub-division. Meanwhile, the Iesco chief suspended lineman Muhammad Ijaz, assistant linemen Hafiz Asif Mahmood, Adeel Hussain, Maqsood and Muhammad Jamil, as well as Naib Qasid Mudassir Rafiq. Taxila Sub-Division Officer (SDO) Hammad Hassan Mustafa was suspended for negligence and inefficiency. Iesco Chief Executive Officer Yousaf Awan issued the order after visiting Taxila and Margalla sub-divisions. He also issued transfer orders for Margalla Sub-division SDO Shah Nawaz and suspension orders of Lineman Yousuf Ali on account of negligence and inefficiency.
