National security: Five members of BLA arrested

Hand grenades, weapons also recovered from their possession.

KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies claim to have arrested five members of the nationalist party, Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), on Wednesday. The five men were arrested during a raid conducted on a tip-off by the Rangers in the outskirts of Landhi, called Bugti Goth. Even though the identities of the arrested suspects were not disclosed, Rangers officials said that the suspects were involved in various acts of terrorism and crime, including bomb blasts at railway tracks, land-grabbing and kidnapping for ransom. Hand grenades and weapons were also recovered from their possession. The suspects were shifted to an undisclosed location for further questioning.
