After facing a multitude of hurdles, the Pakistan snooker team finally received Indian visas ahead of the 15th Asian U21 Snooker Championship in Mohali.
The Asian event is all set to be staged from June 7-13 in India after being postponed earlier, as several teams were unable to get visas for the competition.
Muhammad Majid Ali, Muhammad Haris Nadeem, Hamza Akbar and Amir Tariq will be participating in the continental championship.
“The Pakistan team has finally received the visas and will be travelling to India soon,” a Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) told The Express Tribune.
In the previous edition of the tournament, Mohammad Majid Ali went all the way to the final round before he ended as runner-up.
The cueists, who will compete with players from 11 other countries, will leave for India on Thursday with officials Naveed Ahmed Sheikh and Naveed Kapadia.
