Centralised highways: NHA to roll out e-tolling system

ISLAMABAD: The National Highway Authority would introduce new e-tolling system this year to streamline toll collection system on federalised road network. An official said that four companies have already submitted their proposals in this regard. He said that so far, e-toll system has been installed on seven toll plazas, which are linked with the operations centre established at NHA Headquarters to monitor traffic and toll revenue collection.
