Grievances of minorities: Sikh, Hindu delegates call on Bilawal

Bilawal condemns the recent attacks on the worship places of the Sikh community.

KARACHI: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Patron-In-Chief, Pakistan Peoples Party, has asked Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to constitute a committee to address the grievances of minority communities. The committee under CM’s leadership with representative of all minorities, IG Sindh, law enforcement agencies and local MPs, would meet once a month, Bilawal advised adding that the committee would submit a monthly report to PPP patron-in-chief. According to a PPP statement issued on Saturday, Bilawal also condemned the recent attacks on the worship places of the Sikh community. He directed the Sindh government to provide police security to all worship places. He was talking to a delegation of Sikh and Hindu communities, which called on him at Bilawal House. Provincial ministers Gianchand Essrani, Sharjeel Memon, Mukesh Kumar Chawla attended the meeting. Advisor to Bilawal on minorities affairs Surendar Valasai was also present at the meeting.
