NAUNDERO: Unidentified men opened fire at the house of head constable Daud Soomro on Wednesday night. The constable, posted in the Ketty Mumtaz police station, lives near the Naundero police station. He was sleeping at his house after returning from his work when he heard the firing and informed the SHO of his station. The SHO arrived at Soomro’s residence and also informed the SHO of the Naundero police station. Some policemen at the Naundero police station fired at the miscreants, making them flee the scene. Next morning, the footprints of the offenders were tracked, which led to a guava orchid. Soomro complained, however, that the Naundero police have done nothing to arrest the culprits. He urged the high-ranking police officers to order thorough investigations into the incident and provide him protection.
