Mamnoon’s Call: OIC must promote solidarity in Ummah

President assures that Pakistan will continue to play its role to re-invigorate the OIC

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has urged the need for Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to safeguard the interests of the Muslim world and promote solidarity amongst member states. He assured that Pakistan will continue to play its role to re-invigorate the OIC on all contemporary challenges faced by the Ummah. The president said this during his interaction with ambassadors and high commissioners of the OIC countries at the Presidency on Monday. Pakistan has always worked to promote and support legitimate causes of the Muslim Ummah, such as the Palestinian Conflict, Jammu & Kashmir dispute, Cyprus, Nagorno-Karabakh, Islamophobia and the rights of Muslim minorities in non-OIC countries, the president said.
