Responding to the opposition in the National Assembly (NA), the prime minister also said that those who want mid-term elections have seen the result of by polls in the country.
Gilani said that those who want assemblies to be dissolved are conspiring against the country.
He challenged those who want mid-term elections that they should come forward and contest the local bodies polls to see their standing. The prime minister said that those who want mid-term elections are not honest either with the country, parliament or the people.
Gilani added that the army is loyal to democracy, so it will not impose martial law which means that the midterm elections will also not take place.
The Prime Minister said that the government is ready to talk to the opposition on all issues including the Charter of Pakistan.
Later, talking to the media after distributing prizes among medal winners of the commonwealth games, Gilani said that removal of PCB chairman Ijaz Butt is the discretion of the president.
He said that he will convey the media advice of removing Ijaz Butt to the President of Pakistan.
