At primary level: Computer literacy programme afoot

The Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) government has chalked out a comprehensive plan to launch a computer literacy programme at primary level.     


An official said that the AJK prime minister has already given a green signal to introduce computer from class I in all state-run primary schools.


“The government is also paying special attention to technical education besides improving the quality of education in public-sector institutions across the region.”


“Remote areas will be preferred under the mass computer literacy programme,” said the official.


Besides, the official record in all public sector institutions including schools and colleges, civic and development institutions was being computerised under a phased programme to ensure swift working, the source said.
