IED blast in Mohmand Agency kills 6 security officials

Three others injured in the explosion.

MOHMAND AGENCY/ GHALLANAI: A roadside blast in Mohmand Agency on Saturday left six security officials dead and three others injured.


The blast took place in the Shati Kandao area of Pindiali tehsil of the agency.

Confirming the explosion, political administration official and security forces sources said that an improvised explosive device, planted on the roadside, exploded when a vehicle of the security officials was passing by.

Government sources confirmed the death toll and said that the blast targeted an FC vehicle, Express News reported.

The injured were taken to a hospital in Peshawar for medical assistance.

Security forces cordoned off the area and a search operation is underway.

No one claimed responsibility of the attack till the filing of this report.

As long as the good Taliban (the Haqqanis, LeT, JeM ) enjoy hospitality in the safe heavens in Pakistan, the bad Taliban (TTP) will also not be wished away ... the choice is for Pakistan to make ... !
