Going nowhere: 4 held for travelling on forged papers

FIA immigration staff on Thursday arrested four persons for trying to travel on forged documents.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) immigration staff on Thursday arrested four persons for trying to travel on forged documents and registered cases against them.

FIA Punjab Director Dr Usman Anwar said Zulfiqar Shahid from Toba Tek Singh tried to travel to South Africa but was offloaded when it was discovered that his visa sticker was forged. Azhar Naseer, Arsalan and Imran from Rabwa attempted to travel to Italy on fake Italian passports. During interrogation they confessed that they had gotten these passports from Zubair Cheema, Afzal Butt and Afzal Ahmad for Rs1.8 million. Meanwhile, FIA raided a warehouse of Famous Book Depot seized a large number of pirated books of the Oxford University Press.
