Towards Swift Justice: Prosecution coordination units opened

The move is part of the provincial government’s commitment to improve coordination between criminal justice agencies.

Home and Tribal Affairs Secretary Syed Akhtar Ali Shah on Thursday inaugurated three prosecution coordination units (PCU) at the Judicial Complex in Peshawar. The move is part of the provincial government’s commitment to improve coordination between criminal justice agencies – in particular between the investigation and prosecution branches. According to a handout, the PCU have been developed with assistance from the UK Department for International Development’s Aitebaar programme and will help in coordination between police and the prosecution department.
