Foiled Attack: Bomb disposed in Khyber Agency

A bomb was safely detonated by members of a local pro-government militia on Thursday.

BARA: A bomb was safely detonated by members of a local pro-government militia on Thursday, who removed it from outside a mosque in Shalober Khel area of Bara, Khyber Agency. An official of the political administration in Bara said the high-intensity bomb was spotted by a pedestrian around 7:00am near the main gate of Wadi Jummat mosque. The Khasadar force was alerted but they were unable to defuse the explosive device. The official added that members of the pro-government militia in Shalobar Khel were called for help. They took the live bomb to an empty plot and detonated it with gunfire.
