Improving education: Ministry forms advisory body

ISLAMABAD: The Minister of State for Education, Trainings and Standards in Higher Education on Tuesday approved a 20-member advisory committee for improvement of the education system and to ensure implementation of the government’s education plans and strategies. The notification carried the names of researchers, educationists, and others from the ministry and civil society. The body will comprise of representatives of various sub-sectors of education and experienced and specialists in each sub-sector who will oversee, guide and evaluate performance. It will also go for implementation, identify bottlenecks and propose remedial measures. There will be a secretariat of the advisory committee in the ministry where a relevant officer will coordinate after being notified by the minister.
