Rising violence: Four killed in Karachi in just one hour

KARACHI: In just one hour, four people lost their lives in separate incidents in Karachi's Methadar area despite the presence of police and Rangers, Express News reported on Monday.

Unidentified assailants shot at two men inside an office near the Shirazi Imam Bargah.

Shaukat Shirazi, the trustee of the Imam Bargah and member of the Jaffaria Alliance, has been identified as one of the deceased who was attacked and killed. The other victim has been identified as Qaiser.

The victims were critically wounded and succumbed to their injuries as they were being transported to a nearby hospital.

Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen has announced May 23 to be a day for nationwide protest.

In separate incidents of firing, two people were shot at in Manghopir and Liaquatabad.
